Fixed-Wing Programs

Private Pilot

Instrument Rating
Ideal Aviation is committed to helping you become a proficient instrument pilot, whether you're a private pilot looking to enhance your abilities or an aspiring professional pilot. Through a blend of comprehensive ground school instruction and hands on flight training, you'll acquire the knowledge and skills needed to confidently navigate and operate aircraft using instrument references alone.
Prerequisites:
- Hold a current private pilot certificate or apply for one alongside the instrument rating.
- Accumulate a specific amount of flight time, including: 50 hours of cross-country PIC (Pilot in Command) time. 40 hours of instrument training

Commercial Pilot
Fly for hire or compensation. If you're looking to make a career out of flying, then getting your commerical pilot certificate is the certificate you need to start getting paid to fly. If you're looking to instruct in the near future, then getting your commerical out of the way and complete one more prerequisite. If you're looking to go to the airlines, fly corporate or charter, or even thinking of something else - Ideal Aviation is here to support you and your goals.
Prerequisites:
- Hold a current private pilot certificate
- Have a minimum of 250 hours of flight time, including 100 hours of pilot-in-command time

- Hold either a commercial pilot certificate or an airline transport pilot certificate with an instrument rating
