Private Pilot Certificate: Begin your journey with a Private Pilot Certificate, allowing you to fly for personal enjoyment. Our instructors will teach you essential skills like takeoff, landing, and safe navigation.

What kind of training do you offer?: We provide a range of training programs designed to suit different goals, from private pilot certifications to advanced commercial and multi-engine ratings. Our training emphasizes safety, skill, and confidence to ensure you’re prepared for every step in your aviation journey.

What's the Difference Between Part 141 and Part 61 Training?: Part 141 and Part 61 refer to different sections in the FAA regulations. Part 141 is a more structured and rigorous training program that is designed for schools that are approved by the FAA to provide training under specific curricula. Part 61, on the other hand, is a more flexible training program that allows for individualized training plans; however being less structured, students may require more hours to complete Part 61 training.

How safe are your training flights?: Safety is our top priority at Ideal Aviation. Our instructors undergo rigorous training and continuous education, and we maintain our fleet with the highest safety standards. We also perform regular safety audits and conduct thorough pre-flight checks to ensure every flight is as safe as possible.

Do you offer financing options for training programs?: Yes, we offer flexible financing options to make flight training accessible. Our team can help you explore available options so you can focus on your education without financial stress. Ideal Aviation is one of the very few flight schools in the St. Louis area that is Part 141. We've partnered with Southwestern Illinois College to provide flight training for college credit.

Can I train on my own schedule?: Yes, we offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate various time commitments. Our team works with you to create a training schedule that suits your availability, so you can balance training with other responsibilities.
